ELLA'S DIARY

I will be contacting all new owners over the next few days, but please be patient at this important time in the puppies lives.

04/04/09

Ella has had her puppies starting at 10.25pm on the 4.4.09 and finishing at 3.40am on the 5.4.09

Ella had a fantastic birth, she has had 12 puppies, nine boys and three girls

Some of the puppies at the milk bar just hours old.

Lovely Ella and some of her babies

13/04/09

Wow what a week, I think this week has been the longest week of my life!!!.

Ella and all twelve puppies are doing well, Ella continue's to be a good mother and puppies are growing by the day

As you can see puppies have changed a lot in this last week, not only are they bigger, they now have lovely black nose's, mouth's and pads.

The puppies are beautiful colours, they are cream and a lovely light gold

Fast asleep and very content, puppies will go through further changes this week; all eyes will be open by mid week, and they will be able to hear next weekend. I will also start weaning them with Pedigree puppy porridge next Sunday to take some of the pressure off of Ella. All puppies will also be wormed next Sunday with Drontal puppy.

19/04/09

We have now reached the two week milestone, things are now begining to be a bit easier for me, I have now gone back to my bed and its heaven!!! This is one of my boy puppies. now of course with his eyes open, bless him. He is a love if i say so myself.

Puppies have today been wormed with Drontal puppy

Today they also had their first taste of Pedigree Puppy Porridge. I am not sure if any went down the hatch but it sure covered them from head to foot. I will continue this week with puppy porridge and a week today, when they are three weeks, I will start weaning them with James Wellbeloved puppy food.

One of my lovely girls. Ella remains, of course, a good mother and is forever feeding and cleaning them.

26/04/09

As you can see all puppies are now starting to be weaned and they are enjoying their puppy porridge, but what a mess they get in!!!!

This is one of the girl puppies, they are doing really well and continue to thrive.

This is one of the boys. Puppies are today going to be having their first proper meal of goat's milk and scrambled egg, tomorrow they will have James Wellbeloved (Turkey and Rice) for the first time.

Another boy puppy. Ella continues to be a brillant mother to all twelve puppies and I think she has done a fantastic job so far, but I know very soon the hard work will be down to me.

Next weekend the puppies will meet their new families, Ella, Alfie and I look forward to meeting everybody.

04/05/09 Puppies are now 4 weeks and one day, it has been a very busy weekend with all new puppy owners coming to visit. All puppies are coming on very well and everybody was very pleased with them, and I would just like to add they all have fantastic homes waiting for them and some very excited children. Puppies have now all been registered with the Kennel Club and all their names are below. They are now on four meals a day and enjoy their new found food, although I must say they still like mummy the best. Ella is still being a brilliant mother and would like to feed and wash them every hour if I let her!!!.

Puppies are putting on lots of weight, they are all between 6 and 7 lb.

All puppies have been wormed this weekend.

They are also enjoying the sunshine and they are now playing outside.

Puppies are all having their first vaccinations next Saturday.

All puppies have lovely new homes to go to in two weeks time.

And another boy.

One of the girls.

Another girl.

Some people asked from last week, does this puppy not have a home? Yes she does, a special one and I will let you know more next week.

16/05/09

Puppies are 6 Weeks today.

Puppies have been for their vaccinations and health checks today. I am pleased to say they all passed with flying colours and were all very well behaved.

Puppies have now been taken off of Ella as I think six weeks feeding all these babies was enough for her; not that she thought so as she was still feeding them up to seven times a day!!!

This afternoon puppies all had free running in the garden and they loved every minute of it and so did my other dogs.

All these photo's have been taken outside in the garden and I am sure you will agree they are all beautiful.

Next weekend the puppies are all going to their new homes and I am going to miss them, they have been a wonderful litter and I have enjoyed every moment with them.

I will see all new owners next weekend, something I am not looking forward to as I know I will be a blubbering idiot!!!
