At Pelhamdream Golden Retrievers, we are Kennel Club accredited breeders, making sure our puppies have the very best start in life and we adhere to the guidelines set forth by them.

For people new to the breed, you are in for a treat with Golden Retrievers! Golden Retrievers enrich lives in so many ways with their fun-loving, ball-retrieving and water-loving personalities! Their constant Golden "smile" is trademark!

Our goal is two-fold: to place each of our puppies in a loving, thoughtful home setting and know that the puppy will become a much-loved member of the family; and that the families who select our puppies will be enriched by the life of their Golden Retriever.

Here at Pelhamdream our puppies are born and brought up in our homes into a loving family environment. For the first 8 weeks of their lives we devote all our time into giving them the highest standard of care and we expect this to be continued throughout the rest of their lives with their new families. Only permanent loving homes will be considered for one of our puppies, we do not consider full time workers and we reserve the right to refuse to sell a puppy. Please note that a legally binding contract is signed at the time of sale. If this contract is broken we will take legal action.

For families with small children, Goldens are an extremely biddible family dog, with safety being top of the agenda when there is interaction with children. Having raised Goldens with small children, we can attest that they happily tolerate the typical antics that are involved when the children and the dogs are together, and they adore the cuddles children lovingly 'heap' on them! It is a real joy to see children and puppies grow up together. However, as gentle and tolerant as our Golden Retrievers are, we cannot stress highly enough that children and dogs are supervised at all times and that rough and nasty play is definitely discouraged. With respect from both child and dog you will watch an incredible bond transform before your eyes!

When you are purchasing a puppy it requires thoughtful planning. Health, parental lineage and temperament, as well as environment, are all important factors in purchasing a puppy. Also important is selecting a breeder who will take time to answer questions before, during and after the puppy sale. Our Goldens have Champion KC bloodlines and this is evident in their appearance and temperaments. At Pelhamdream Golden Retrievers, we prioritise these factors so that purchasing a puppy is a positive experience for the entire family.

Our breeding dogs have all had the relevant health screening required. All have had their hips scored and up-to-date eye checks. With this parental certification, your puppy is destined to lead a happy and healthy life for many years to come!

The temperaments of our dogs can be described as gentle, obedient and affectionate. All of our dogs are family pets who live within our homes and have been raised with young children. Temperament is fundamentally important in selecting a puppy.
